about

Hi, I’m Ashley!

I’m a plastics engineer who encourages reducing plastic use. I’m an environmentalist who loves steak and burgers. I’m a health-enthusiast who counts both macros and ingredients.

Responsible Journey exists to explore the gray area. It exists to provide perspective from my own personal journeys, while holding space for others choosing to live a different, but equally responsible journey. It exists as a continuous learning space, where science is deeply respected but not held as an absolute. It exists to provide information on difficult, research-y topics in order to suggest options for personal changes, growth, and improvement. Ultimately, Responsible Journey exists to inspire confident choices that create a lasting impact on our health, our environment, and the people around us. I firmly believe we have a responsibility to take care of the earth and the humans that inhabit it. I hope we can better learn how to do so together. I’m so happy you’re here to share your own unique and responsible journey!

I spent the first eighteen years of life in a small town in Northeast Ohio. I moved around to many cities and states while I achieved my Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation I moved back to Northeast Ohio where I joined the corporate world and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I’ve been married almost 3 years and still reside in Northeast Ohio with my husband. When I’m not working in the corporate world or working on Responsible Journey, you will usually find me cooking a healthy meal, working out, volunteering at our local after-school program, spending time with family and friends, or traveling to a new hiking destination with my husband.

sharing my responsible journey and inspiring yours
